What About Bible Mythology?
The Bible is not merely a collection of mythologies. The text of the Bible conveys God's message to us. Most of its stories and verse are easy to understand. Think about it. If you were God, how would you reach out to humanity? When the content of Bible was created; radio, television, newspaper, magazine, telephone, and Internet media did not exist. The materials for creating written records were difficult to use. Making... (posted by Ron 1 year 96 days ago.)

Is The Bible The Word Of God?
There are three basic ways to perceive the text of the Bible. Conservative Christians believe the Bible is word for word the work of God. In essence, God caused every word to be written. Even the revisions and translations are the work of God. If that interpretation brings us closer to God, and helps us to sustain a positive view of our existence, then our conviction is beneficial. Many contemporary Christians prefer... (posted by Ron 1 year 98 days ago.)

Have You Heard This One?
A British passenger riding in a Dublin taxi leaned over to ask the driver a question. He tapped the driver on the shoulder. The driver screamed, lost control of the cab, nearly hit a bus, drove up over the curb, and stopped just inches from the edge of the bridge over the Liffey River. For a few moments everything was silent in the cab, and then the still shaking driver said, I'm sorry, but you scared the devil out of me.' ... (posted by Ron 1 year 100 days ago.)

Cuba: Creating The opportunity For Personal Gain
An article by Michael Voss on BBC Internet News caught my eye this week (4/25/2008). Raul Castro has taken several small measures to give the Cuban people an opportunity to improve their circumstances. He has lifted the ban on owning cell phones, DVD players and PCs. Cubans can now stay at the same hotels as foreign visitors. Small family farms and private cooperatives - which currently produce more than... (posted by Ron 3 years 287 days ago.)

Are We Ready For 1984?
Introduction Recent surveys show most Americans are apprehensive and dissatisfied. Things are not going well. The economy is sick, prices are going up, retirement security is evaporating, and health care is in trouble. We worry about the price of food and fuel, a decreased standard of living, and the burden of too much debt. Throw in cultural turmoil and the future looks murky. For us and our kids. Americans want change a new... (posted by Ron 3 years 356 days ago.)
